Why We Started
OUR ORIGIN
A group of individuals from similar backgrounds, with a shared passion for music, media, broadcasting and community development, recognised the need for an internet radio station that could cater for and serve a particular demographic and level of maturity within the local and wider community.
THE PROBLEM
We recognised that many people, particularly those from underrepresented backgrounds, lacked access to opportunities to develop skills in broadcasting, media production, digital communication and creative expression.
OUR SOLUTION
Through our station, we aim not only to provide quality music, entertainment and discussion programmes, but also to create a platform for learning, teaching and personal development — offering opportunities in radio presenting, DJing, interviewing, podcast production and more.
COMMUNITY
We are committed to supporting both the local and wider community by promoting positive messages, celebrating culture and diversity, showcasing local talent and providing a voice for those who are often unheard.
